Full Job Description

ABOUT BASE Base is America’s next-generation power company. We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time. ABOUT THE ROLE Join the lean finance & business operations team as we build it out. The team is currently supporting potential M&A transactions; capital markets transactions across equity, debt, and tax credit sales; financial and operational reporting across the business; supply / demand planning; budgeting; pricing and other financial decisions; and partnering with operators across the business. We’ve had a lot of success with generalists who know the business deeply and bring a high IQ + EQ to push the business forward across multiple of these initiatives. What You’ll Do - Own workstreams across M&A, debt and equity raises, and tax credit sales — from first diligence through close. - Embed with operators in deployment, supply chain, energy markets, and growth to surface what's working and what isn't. - Build the reporting and tools we use to see the business clearly — past performance and forward forecasts. - Build models and analysis that drive real decisions — pricing, capital allocation, hiring, supply commitments, when to enter a new market. - Take on whatever the business needs next; the scope of this role will keep changing as we grow. What You’ll Bring - 2–5 years in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, consulting, or operating finance at a fast-moving company. - Strong financial modeling and analytical chops — you can build from a blank sheet and defend every assumption. - High judgment on what matters and what doesn't — you rarely need to be told twice. - Comfort with ambiguity — most of what you'll work on doesn't have a playbook. - Clear communication wi
