Full Job Description
_**The Role**_ We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant on a fixed-term basis for a period of 6 months within our Belfast Finance Department. This role is an excellent opportunity for a bright individual who is ambitious and recognises the opportunity to gain experience in a top tier Corporate Law firm. **Duties & Responsibilities:** * Accounts Payable – processing invoices from suppliers on a timely basis and reconciliation of supplier accounts * Monthly creditor payment run – paying suppliers in accordance with payment terms * Disbursement entry – input of client disbursement charges including cheque preparation * Billing – assist with billing during key periods such as month-end and as required * Finance administration – assisting the Finance Department as required with projects such as Archiving and records management including bank lodgements * Assisting fee earning colleagues with queries around client disbursements and ledgers **Requirements** _**Skills and Experience required:**_ * Excellent numerical skills and strong attention to detail * Excellent interpersonal skills * Proven ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team * Strong PC application skills * Well-developed organisational and administration skills * Effective time management skills * Previous experience in a busy finance department highly desirable * Legal bookkeeping experience is also highly desirable This will be a temporary assignment commencing as soon as possible for approximately 6 months. While the role is fixed-term, there may be the potential for a permanent opportunity depending on business needs.
