Travel to Cologne on a quarterly basis, Part-time role: 50 to 60%, In the office three days a week, 12-month contract

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, Experience working within a local entity of a larger international group, Proven track record in managing German tax and regulatory compliance, Familiarity with local payroll coordination, Demonstrated ability to work independently, Experience in cross-functional collaboration, Understanding of German GAAP and tax laws, Working knowledge of fiscal processes and platforms, Solid command of SAP or similar ERP systems, Excel skills, Understanding of internal control procedures, Fluent in German, Professional proficiency in English

Nice to Have

Experience in the auction, art, or luxury sectors, Accounting certification (e. g. , CPA, ACCA, or local German equivalent)

What You'll Do.

Process supplier invoices

Approve supplier payments

Ensure timely payroll execution

Record balance sheets and P&L

Prepare statutory financial statements

Prepare and submit Budget and Forecast

Optimize internal process

Submit Quarterly tax package

Ensure legal and tax compliance

Serve as contact for auditors and banks

Collaborate with tax consultants

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Liaise with HR London Team; Liaise with European finance team; Liaise with external accounting firm; Liaise with London Tax team; Collaborate with tax consultants; Report to Internal compliance and legal team; Cross-functional collaboration with global finance, tax, and compliance teams

Communication Scope

Excellent communication skills; Explain local matters clearly to non-local teams
