Playing a pivotal part in winning and implementing new business

Investigate ‘what-if’ scenarios; Evaluate financial risks of proposals; Questioning and enquiring approach; Seek out new methods that will allow more efficient provision of accurate financial data
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Qualified accountant with experience in industry in a similar role, Experience of undertaking investment appraisals, Higher-level knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, General accounting practices
Nice to Have
CFA charterholder preferred
What You'll Do.
Providing financial analysis and bid support
Create detailed costings and profit and loss models for warehousing
transportation and added value services
Formulate viable proposals based on open book
tariffs and hybrid commercial arrangements
Quantify the benefits of new business when integrated into existing operations
Investigate ‘what-if’ scenarios and evaluate financial risks of proposals
Generate documents and presentation materials to support bids
Work with the larger finance team to create the accurate weekly costings for the new business won and existing customer base
Complete investment appraisals (NPV
IRR and ROCE) for Business Cases
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Working very closely with the Business Development team; Effectively communicate finance models and commercial proposals at internal bid reviews; Attend customer meetings to present commercial aspects of proposals and answer finance-related questions; Work with the larger finance team; Comfortable working individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and improvement ideas
Communication Scope
Effectively communicate finance models and commercial proposals; Attend customer meetings to present commercial aspects of proposals and answer finance-related questions; Excellent communicator at all levels up to and including Operational Managers and Directors, customers, suppliers and other internal staff
