What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Eligible to work in the United States, Basic knowledge of construction and industrial safety practices, Ability to safely operate hand tools, grinders, cutting tools, and other construction equipment, Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, Ability to identify workplace hazards and respond appropriately, Ability to travel regularly throughout the Greater Phoenix area, Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, Ability to push or pull loads up to 50 pounds, Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb for extended periods, Ability to work safely outdoors in all weather conditions, Ability to meet visual and auditory acuity requirements, Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods
Nice to Have
High school diploma or GED preferred, Previous construction, welding helper, manufacturing, industrial labor, or related experience preferred
What You'll Do.
Assist welders with field welding operations
Assist with equipment setup
Assist with material preparation
Assist with task execution
Set up welding support equipment
Organize welding support equipment
Maintain welding support equipment
Retrieve welding support equipment
Perform cleaning of materials
Perform preparation of raw materials
Perform preparation of installed materials
Complete fire watch training
Perform fire watch responsibilities
Monitor work areas for hazards
Follow safety procedures
Follow emergency procedures
Maintain clean work areas
Maintain organized work areas
Maintain safe work areas
Properly store equipment
Properly store materials
Properly store debris
Inspect tools for safe operation
Inspect equipment for safe operation
Report maintenance concerns
Report safety concerns
Work safely in outdoor environments
