Hospitals, hotels, schools, bridges, airports and more.** **Come build a career you believe in.** **About the Role** As a **Field Welder** at **Z Modular** , this role is responsible for welding commonly used metals and alloys of various shapes, sizes, and thicknesses to support construction, maintenance, and repair projects. This position performs a variety of welding duties both in manufacturing facilities and at field locations across the United States. With approximately **75% travel** , this role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in diverse environments, and is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a strong focus on safety. **What You’ll Do** * Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using arc welding (stick welding) and other traditional welding techniques * Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding using measuring and alignment tools * Examine workpieces for defects and verify conformance to specifications using templates, straightedges, and measuring devices * Weld aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys individually or in combination * Clamp, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, and secure components to achieve proper fit and configuration * Ignite torches, operate welding power supplies, and perform welding operations safely and efficiently * Determine appropriate welding equipment and methods based on metallurgy, geometry, and welding requirements * Monitor welding processes to prevent
