We have an opening for a Field Technician to provide technical support and customer services in the management of hazardous, including explosive, and radioactive waste. Under general supervision you will perform a variety of technical functions in collecting, packaging, labeling, identifying, documenting, segregating, consolidating, treating, and storing hazardous, explosive and radioactive waste generated by various LLNL programs. This position is in the Radioactive and Hazardous Waste Management (RHWM) Program within the Strategic Deterrence (SD) Directorate. This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work. This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
