What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Diploma in a Mechanical Field, Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman, reading schematics, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with mining equipment, written and verbal communication skills, Computer literacy (MS Office), Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Western Canada as required, Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required), Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Nice to Have
At least 3 years related experience with mining equipment, Previous experience with Sandvik equipment
What You'll Do.
and maintenance of mechanical aspects of mining equipment and components
new equipment commissioning
training at customer sites
Maintenance and servicing of equipment
Planning for correct tools and parts required to perform tasks
Commissioning of products that includes pre-delivery inspections and hot (operational and at customer site) commissioning
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and solve common problems
understand basic functionality
and conduct maintenance and repair work accordingly
Support the customer’s product/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements
Uses knowledge and experience to solve standard problems for customers
Complete maintenance reports for internal and external stakeholders
Occasionally collect technical feedback in the Sales Area
Assign simple tasks to junior staff and guide them in their completion
Coach customer technicians on basic servicing and maintenance principles
Ensure that all routine work procedures are carried out according to safety standards
