Must Have
5+ years of experience working with structural steel or miscellaneous metals installations, Previous experience supervising field crews or leading installation teams, Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and safety documentation, math and layout skills, including measurements, angles, and field calculations, Working knowledge of AWS D1. 1 standards and welding processes including SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW, Current welding certifications or ability to successfully complete a weld test

## Description Field Installation Supervisor – Structural & Miscellaneous Metals Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Pay: Starting at $32.00/hour (based on experience) Perks: Company vehicle and fuel card provided Work Region: Candidates should be located near Georgetown, DE; Sterling, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Field Installation Supervisor to lead crews responsible for installing structural and miscellaneous metal components, including stairs, railings, and related assemblies. This role oversees day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This position is well-suited for a hands-on professional with metals experience who is comfortable managing teams and coordinating across job sites. ## Primary Responsibilities Field Supervision & Crew Coordination Lead and supervise installation crews performing structural and miscellaneous metals work Coordinate daily job site operations with general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades Assign labor, materials, and equipment resources based on project needs and schedules Support crews with layout verification, alignment, and installation guidance as needed Installation Oversight & Quality Control Review project drawings, blueprints, and layout details prior to and during installation activities Ensure installations comply with project specifications, quality expectations, and production timelines Verify field measurements, material placement, and alignment accuracy Monitor workflow and address field challenges to maintain project progress Safety & Compliance Serve as the primary field contact for safety coordination and enforcement Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and job site safety procedures Conduct safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices across crews Verify team certifications, qualifications, and adherence to company and site standards Reporting & Equipment Oversight Complete daily
