Eligibility Requirements

United States (U. S. ) citizen, ability to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed, 4/10 schedule, standard work week is Monday - Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm

High School Diploma and 9+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s Degree 3+ years of relevant experience, United States (U. S. ) citizen, ability to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed, electrical execution background (as either an Electrical Superintendent or Field Engineer), working knowledge of design codes and standards including NFPA 70-2014, NEC, and NQA-1, experience in work execution and field expertise

Nice to Have

Experience with DOE, DoD, and/or commercial nuclear construction projects

What You'll Do.

Support completion of UPF’s Electrical system(s)

Provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with electrical systems

Exercise judgment related to appropriate electrical codes and standards

Review submittals related to electrical engineering

Support electrical inspection activities

Utilize field background related to electrical experience

Assist with recommendations to ensure field engineering activities operate safely

and conform to quality standards and project requirements

Work Planning & Packaging – prepares construction drawings and sketches & facilitates planning construction methods and procedures

Material Management – initiates requisition for field purchases & prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment

Quantities – verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required

Safety / Quality Control – ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area & tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely

System Turnover – develops firm understanding of electrical system and area scoping and drawings required for package development

Subcontract Coordination - reviews and approves inspection test plans & coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Field Engineer, Electrical to join our team supporting the Uranium Processing Facility! This position is short-term full-time. Responsibilities - Support completion of UPF’s Electrical system(s). - Provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with electrical systems. - Exercise judgment related to appropriate electrical codes and standards. - Review submittals related to electrical engineering. - Support electrical inspection activities. - Utilize strong field background related to electrical experience. - Assist with recommendations to ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements - Perform the following tasks: - Work Planning & Packaging – prepares construction drawings and sketches & facilitates planning construction methods and procedures. - Material Management – initiates requisition for field purchases & prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment. - Quantities – verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required. - Safety / Quality Control – ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area & tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely. - System Turnover – develops firm understanding of electrical system and area scoping and drawings required for package development. - Subcontract Coordination - reviews and approves inspection test plans & coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals.
