What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Ability to read and navigate C++ and Python codebases, Utilize structured logging (e. g. , Protobuf, JSON logs) to identify and resolve system behaviors, Foundational understanding of industrial machinery, including robotic kinematics, sensors, and safety protocols, Proven ability to lead technical projects solo in the field, making sound tactical decisions while maintaining close communication with remote stakeholders, Ability to work on-site at industrial facilities for extended durations (up to 50% of the year)
Nice to Have
Experience with Linux environments and command-line troubleshooting, Familiarity with industrial networking protocols and hardware integration (sensors, grippers, and safety controllers), Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role, specifically within the automotive, electronics, or logistics sectors, Knowledge of ROS/ROS 2, Basic experience with containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes)

Ensuring high reliability and seamless operation within partners' facilities
Lead small-scale deployments
Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting
Ensure customers are empowered to operate technology
Independently manage the installation and commissioning of small-scale robotic cells
Coordinating with remote engineering teams to ensure successful 'go-live' events
Maximize uptime by proactively monitoring system health
Performing rapid root-cause analysis on hardware and software issues
Communicate technical challenges and site-specific edge cases back to the core engineering team
Provide precise context for bug fixes
Act as a technical mentor for customer operators
Conducting training sessions that translate complex robotic processes into actionable operational knowledge
