## Description Field Electrician – Commercial Projects (2nd Shift) Location: Virginia Beach, VA Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire Shift: Second Shift Compensation: Starting at $27.00/hour+ (based on experience) Position Summary A growing electrical team is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician to perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting work across active job sites. This role is primarily field-based and involves working on a variety of commercial electrical systems, with a strong focus on safety, workmanship, and efficiency. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, understands construction drawings, and takes pride in delivering high-quality electrical work. ## What You’ll Do Electrical Installation & Repairs Install, service, and upgrade electrical systems in commercial settings Troubleshoot wiring, equipment, and electrical components to resolve issues efficiently Plan layouts and installations to support long-term system performance Bend and install conduit using manual and powered equipment Blueprints & Technical Work Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics Utilize industry tools such as threaders, knockout sets, cable pullers, and drills Complete work orders and documentation with accuracy Job Site Execution & Safety Maintain clean, organized workspaces and properly handle equipment Follow project timelines and meet productivity expectations Travel locally between job sites as required Work at heights using ladders and access equipment when needed Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazard communication protocols Additional Responsibilities Assist with troubleshooting related systems such as HVAC or refrigeration when needed Participate in ongoing training and skill development Contribute to team goals while maintaining professionalism on-site ## Required Background Journeyman-level experience with increasing responsibility in the fie
