Ability to secure U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, Bachelor's degree in occupational or environmental safety and health or equivalent, Fundamental knowledge of nuclear facility operations, Experience planning integration of new safety programs, Experience interpreting high-hazard facility policies, Experience trending safety data, Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, Ability to work effectively in collaborative environment, Fundamental leadership or management experience, Ability to obtain Fissile Material Handler Certification, Respirator certification/qualification
Nice to Have
Advanced knowledge of safety procedures, Advanced knowledge of LLNL facility policies, Experience coordinating with non-employer entities, Working knowledge of LLNL Safety Basis process, DOE RCT Qualification, Certified or Senior Certified Fissile
What You'll Do.
Provide high level technical support
Collaborate in ES&H Program implementation
Ensure regulatory and compliance obligations are met
Serve as catalyst for Integrated Safety Management execution
Support Superblock Complex
Support Radioactive Hazardous Waste Management facilities
Ensure adherence to Facility Safety Plans
Ensure adherence to work control documents
Ensure adherence to policy
Ensure adherence to procedure
Participate in Work Planning and Control process
Review work control documents
Concur on work control documents
Lead Assessment teams for startup activities
Ensure compliance with criticality safety
Ensure compliance with other safety controls
Serve as advisor on safety issues
Develop safety related programs
Implement safety related programs
Execute safety related programs
Develop safety related briefings
Implement safety related briefings
Execute safety related briefings
Review facility training programs
Concur on facility training programs
Ensure compliance with safety requirements
Maintain safety related records
