We have an opening for a Facility Engineer to provide engineering support for new construction, upgrades to facility systems (i.e., building structure, ventilation, fire suppression, compressed gas, piping, and pipe supports), design review, and modifications to conventional office and laboratory facilities. You will apply advanced technical knowledge in project management and system engineering to develop conceptual ideas into workable and cost-effective solutions that maintain facilities supporting treatment and storage of radioactive and hazardous waste. This position supports the Radioactive and Hazardous Waste Management Program in the Strategic Deterrence Directorate. This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work. This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
