What You'll Do.
Load trucks for delivering products
Perform routine equipment inspections
Perform uninterrupted glass dissolving production
Perform minor equipment repair
Maintain work area clean
Assist in plant budget development
Perform efficient start up/shut-down of plant
Maintain active participation in ISO audits
Maintain active participation in EHS audits
Maintain active participation in environmental audits
Perform all quality checks on products
Perform quality checks on boiler water
Maintain quality records
Obtain knowledge of company policies
Obtain knowledge of plant procedures
Obtain knowledge of ISO procedures
Prioritize in emergency situations
Provide communication to proper authorities

Full Job Description
National Silicate Partnership, an affiliate of PQ is a leading global provider of silicates, silicas and derivative products. PQ’s products are used in a wide variety of industrial processes and many customer products, from decorative paints to green cement, from clean drinking water to green tires and from toothpaste to biofuels and beer. This position applies to the overall operation of the liquid sodium silicate dissolving plant, and potassium silicate dissolving plant. It has the responsibility of maintaining maximum safety, efficiency, reliability, productivity, quality, and customer service. Duration 6 -12 months. * Off load railcars. * Load trucks for delivering products to the customer. * Perform routine equipment inspections. * Perform uninterrupted glass dissolving production. * Perform minor equipment repair. * Maintain work area clean and free from all safety hazards. * Assist in plant budget development. * Perform efficient start up/shut-down of plant and related equipment. * Maintain active participation in ISO audits/EHS audits/environmental audits. * Perform all quality checks on products shipped, boiler water and maintain records. * Obtain knowledge of all company policies/plant procedures/ISO procedures/Emergency Response Plan. * Prioritize in emergency situations and provide communication to proper authorities. * Hold a 5th class Power Engineer’s (boiler operator’s) ticket. * Possess good math, reading, writing and computer skills. * Other duties as assigned by the Unit Manager. ## Qualifications * Boiler Ticket preferred * Minimun 2 years of experience in manufacutirng environamen * Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. * Ability to learn and comprehend manufacturing processes. * Ability to work as a member of a 3 person team. * Wil
