The Facilities Technician supports the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of the organization’s physical workspace while also managing shipping and receiving activities. This role ensures the facility is functional, efficient, and well-maintained, and that all incoming and outgoing materials are handled accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable balancing facilities tasks with logistics duties. ## Facilities Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot issues and complete repairs using sound judgment, technical skill, and personal initiative. Execute and manage technically complex projects with minimal supervision. Conduct regular facility inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and improvement opportunities. Assist in scheduling, escorting, and overseeing contractors performing facility repairs or projects. Assist with office moves, equipment installations, furniture assembly, and workspace reconfigurations. Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in clean, safe working condition. Follow and promote workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and hazard reporting. Support compliance with OSHA, fire code, and internal safety policies. Participate in emergency preparedness activities, including equipment checks and safety drills. ## Shipping & Receiving Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
