What They're Looking For.
Must Have
College degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related technical field, OR equivalent work experience, Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in industrial facilities, manufacturing environments, or building operations management, Experience working in a unionized environment, Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment operation and maintenance, Proven interpersonal and management skills, Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Physical capability to conduct facility tours, respond to emergencies, and provide hands-on support
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline, 3+ years of facilities management experience in automotive manufacturing, heavy industrial, or large-scale production environments, Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and components, OSHA safety certifications, EPA compliance training, Facilities management professional credentials (CFM, FMP, CPMM), Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Project management experience including budget oversight, contractor management, and cross-functional team coordination, Knowledge of critical environment support systems, Knowledge of emergency backup systems
