What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Technical education in mechanical, electrical, or facilities management field or equivalent experience, Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities technical management, technical troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities across multiple building systems, Experience with budget management and cost control for maintenance operations, Team leadership skills with demonstrated ability to develop staff and manage contractors, Knowledge of applicable building codes, health and safety regulations, and industry standards, Proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications
Nice to Have
Professional certifications in facilities management or technical specialties (FMP, CFM, CEM, etc. ), Experience implementing energy management and sustainability initiatives, Background in emergency response planning and management, Knowledge of building automation systems and smart building technologies, Experience with capital project planning and implementation, analytical skills for interpreting maintenance and energy consumption data, Background in continuous improvement methodologies for maintenance operations
