What They're Looking For.
Must Have
built and maintained safe, well-organised workshop or facilities operations in a hands-on environment, managed external contractors, building works, or site infrastructure and can hold suppliers accountable to quality and timelines, Hold or have actively practised responsibilities as a Fire Marshal, First Aider, or site safety lead, with experience conducting or overseeing risk assessments, coordinated vehicle fleets, including scheduling maintenance, managing compliance, and preparing vehicles for operational deployments, Communicate clearly and calmly with a wide range of stakeholders, from engineers and landlords to senior clients and visiting personnel
Nice to Have
Hold relevant certifications in facilities management, health and safety, or a related discipline (e. g. , IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent), Have experience coordinating VIP or client visits in a professional or operational setting, Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, reporting, and budget tracking
What You'll Do.
Own the organisation and upkeep of the workshop

Manage inventory and procurement of tools

Oversee maintenance and repair of workshop infrastructure
and shop-floor equipment

Act as Site Security Lead
ensuring all visitors are vetted
and briefed comprehensively on site safety procedures before access is granted
Serve as the primary contact for contractors
resolving site issues promptly and escalating where necessary
Lead all site safety activities as Site Fire Marshal and First Aider

Respond to out-of-hours site emergencies

You will take full ownership of the physical environment, from workshop organisation and equipment readiness to site security and contractor coordination. You will serve as Site Security Lead, Site Fire Marshal, and First Aider, meaning your work has a direct and material impact on the safety of everyone on site.
