What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline with 3 years’ experience in facilities, low-voltage, or physical security systems installation and maintenance, High School/GED with 10 years of highly relevant experience
Nice to Have
Experience with operation and maintenance of fire alarm and sprinkler systems, including coordination/testing with licensed vendors, Familiarity with access control and CCTV platforms (e.g., badge systems, VMS/NVRs) and fundamentals of PLCMS/BAS control systems, Experience with CMMS, vendor coordination, inventory control, and diligent documentation practices, Troubleshooting skills across electrical/electronic and electro-mechanical ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics, Hands-on experience pulling and terminating low-voltage/data cabling and using test tools (e.g., multimeter, toner), 4 years of facilities experience in the Biotech industry and/or lab equipment maintenance experience, 2 years of experience using a robust and auditable quality maintenance system, including maintenance records and non-conformance investigation, Intermediate-to-expert understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems with associated troubleshooting skills, Demonstrated ability to train and provide guidance for Facilities team members

This role is deeply involved in the physical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems—not just design or oversight. This role is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining physical security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms), low-voltage infrastructure, and facility control systems, while also supporting lab equipment, automation initiatives, and site-wide technical projects. **This is not a desk-based engineering role.** The position spends significant time in labs, ceilings, server rooms, and equipment spaces—installing hardware, running cabling, troubleshooting issues in real time, and keeping systems operational.
