Fabrication Specialist **Company:** The Boeing Company **Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)** is seeking **Fabrication Specialists** to support the**EE Shelf Assembly** team located in **Salt Lake City, Utah.** Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels, including Entry-Level, Associate, and Experienced Fabrication Specialists. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling metal structure components with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of blueprints and production orders and the ability to operate various hand and power tools. If you are committed to quality and safety and are passionate about working in a hands-on environment, we invite you to apply and contribute to our innovative projects. **Position Responsibilities:** * Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks * Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components * Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products * Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation * Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements * Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):** * Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed * Able to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting * Able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience**): * 1+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience * 3+ months experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience * Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data * Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools) **Conflict of Interest:** Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the
