PEE is also in charge of continuously process/hardware related optimization to enhance the products’ quality, improve the yield, reduce the cost as well as maximize the capacity output (wafer per hours output). In the CMP process of semiconductor wafer manufacturing, a PEE is required to possess knowledge of both the process and the equipment in order to reduce defects and form interconnects through mechanical and chemical wafer planarization technologies.
