Must Have
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement, At least 1 year of experience in leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership", 7+ years of technical engineering experience, Must meet U. S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U. S. export control compliance requirements, a “U. S. Person” as defined by 22 C. F. R. §120.62 is required. “U. S. Person” includes U. S. Citizen, U. S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee., Ability to obtain a U. S. Security Clearance for which the U. S. Government requires U. S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U. S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Nice to Have
3+ years of experience leading or managing teams and/or projects, Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies, Experience in the design, development, and integration, test and production of Avionics Systems, Experience with F-15 and/or Mission Systems on Similar platforms, Engineering and Missions System Leadership experience on similar subsystems and on similar platforms, Experience in Supplier Management and Technical Oversight of Suppliers, Experience with the Program Management Best Practices including the Earned Value Management (EVM) system as a Cost Account Manager
What You'll Do.
Guide the day-to-day activities of engineers responsible for development
and sustainment of fielded systems of stores management and recorder solutions
Perform engineering design
supplier technical oversight
and test activities for the F-15 and some F/A-18 common recorders and stores management products
leading and mentoring an engineering team responsible for both sustainment of fielded avionics systems and development of new SMS and recorder products
Oversee the upgrade program for a new Stores Management System
including requirements
Lead the technical integration of a new recorder solution into existing F-15 and common recorder architectures
including supplier technical oversight and certification support
Manage installation and aircraft integration activities for avionics equipment on F-15 platforms
coordinating with flight test
Own program-level technical risk identification
and delivery commitments
Ensure execution of Design Practices and alignment to the Enterprise Standard Gated Process and drive continuous process improvements
Support fielded-system troubleshooting
and firmware/software updates required for in-service aircraft
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Coordination with cross-functional stakeholders (systems engineering, avionics, software, test, manufacturing, sustainment, and customers) is required to ensure successful execution from development through field support.
