What You'll Do.
Selecting and approving appropriate externship sites
Providing orientation for the on-site supervisors
Providing oversight of the externship experience
On-site assessment of student experiences and the quality of learning opportunities at least once during each term students are assigned to the externship site
Evaluate students’ qualifications and eligibility for externship programs
Identify students’ strengths and weaknesses to match them with suitable externship opportunities
Investigate potential externship sites
assess their suitability
and secure contracts for each extern
Conduct regular site visits and maintain communication with site supervisors to monitor and support student progress
Obtain and review site evaluations of students
address any performance deficiencies
and develop action plans to ensure students meet required competencies
Provide guidance to students on externship rules
and procedures throughout the externship process
