Must Have
Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation, Demonstrated progressive experience at the Senior Manager level working with a range of external audit clients in a professional services firm
Nice to Have
A understanding of Canadian and United States auditing standards and/or PCAOB standards also considered, Knowledge of IFRS and ASPE, US GAAP considered an asset
What You'll Do.
Leading client-facing teams
Examining financial and accounting records
and/or observe certain processes and procedures being performed
Asking a range of questions – from formal written questions to informal oral questions – with senior individuals at our client organizations
Handling conflict resolution
Managing expectations of a range of stakeholders (at varying levels of seniority)
both clients and internally
Performing design effectiveness walkthroughs
and test the operational effectiveness of client internal controls
Making judgments on testing approaches for significant accounting estimates
Verifying and testing financial statements and supporting disclosures
Assuming a coaching performance management role that promotes staff development
Contributing to a high performing team
Instructing milestone training courses to our staff
Networking in the local business community
Preparation and delivery of competitive audit proposals
Developing industry and technical expertise in audit and assurance through written reports
