What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3 or more years of related work experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain, Experience with basic ERP system functionality such as Systems Applications and Processing (SAP) and/or Procurement to Pay (PTP), Experience in Spares pricing and lead-time negotiations, Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, U. S. Person as defined by 22 C. F. R. §120. 15
Nice to Have
APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM), Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study, Experience working in a distribution business environment, Experience in commodity / product knowledge, Experience with interacting directly with suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals, Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders, Assists with continuous review and analysis of demand and supply, Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations and documentation of contracts and agreements, Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities, Collaboration with other internal teams to gain process efficiencies and meet the needs of our internal and external customers’ requirements
What You'll Do.
Source and purchase aerospace fasteners and parts
Compile and analyze data for purchasing feasibility
Establish price objectives
Compile information on price trends
Compile information on manufacturing processes
Confer with suppliers and analyze operations
Determine factors affecting prices
Determine lowest cost consistent with quality
Select or recommend suppliers
Follow up on orders placed
Maintain necessary records
Deliver on savings and inventory requirements
Conduct market analysis
Implement long-term agreements
Use business analysis for order placement
Issue purchase orders
Follow up and expedite orders
Analyze assigned part numbers
Work closely with Sales department
Resolve payment issues with suppliers
Collaborate with Quality department on defective goods
Determine course of action for defective goods
Perform supply planning
Evaluate inventory levels
Evaluate safety stock
Select approved suppliers
Determine investment strategy
Prepare and negotiate packages with suppliers
Drive increased savings opportunities
Execute strategic initiatives
Develop new opportunities
Confirm Purchase Order acknowledgments
Verify accuracy of PO
Maintain awareness of department key deliverables
Utilize reports for past dues
