Must Have
University degree in kinesiology, Member in good standing with professional college, Minimum two years relevant experience, Current ACSM CEP certification, Current CSEP CEP certification, Current BCLS certification, Current membership with Cardiac Rehabilitation Network of Ontario, Current membership with Canadian Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, Working knowledge of cardiovascular exercise physiology, Working knowledge of ECG interpretation, Working knowledge of cardiovascular medications, Working knowledge of principles of behaviour modification, Working knowledge of cardiovascular exercise therapy, Ability to travel between all Osler sites
Nice to Have
Successful completion of advanced cardiac physiology electives, Successful completion of cardiac rehabilitation electives, Successful completion of exercise physiology electives, Experience in adult education, Presentation skills experience
What You'll Do.
Develop exercise treatment plans
Provide support for self-management
Function as a case manager
Act as a liaison between participant and physician
Act as a liaison between participant and health
Develop exercise prescriptions for participants with cardiovascular disease
Review exercise assessment results
Conduct exercise classes
Conduct educational classes
Provide ongoing motivational support
Apply principles of program planning
Apply principles of program design
Apply principles of program adaptation
Apply principles of prescription in physical activity
Counsel patients regarding healthy behaviours
Counsel patients regarding self-management lifestyle techniques
