What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years of experience in a professional work environment, Experience with Navy staff or Defense, Joint Staff, or Combatant Command (COCOM) staff, including as an Action Officer or Flag Aide, Experience with Congressional or legislative affairs, including as an Executive Assistant or Chief of Staff, Experience managing executive level communications, including detailed DoD, Federal taskers, and Congressional and industry RFIs, Experience with regular direct client interactions, including supporting project delivery, delivering presentations, and leading client meetings, Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, Ability to work independently, creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment, Secret clearance, Bachelor's degree
Nice to Have
4+ years of experience working in a DoD or federal government environment, Experience working on Capitol Hill as a Congressional Staffer or Navy Office of Legislative Affairs, Experience with the Congressional Authorization and Appropriations process, the DoD legislative process, including program objective memorandum (POM) preparation, Budget Estimate Submissions (BES), President’s Budget (PB) Exhibit preparation, and working around senior Congressional staff and Navy officials, Ability to track and comprehend acquisition and procurement goals as they move through the legislative cycle and plan, organize, and execute tasks with minimal direction, Knowledge of the ETMS2 tasking system, Top Secret clearance
