What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree or military experience, At least 5 years experience in executive protection, security management or in a corporate security environment, military or federal law enforcement agency, Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) HR218 credentials with the expectation of completion prior to start
Nice to Have
MBA or Master’s degree, CPR, AED and Basic First Aid Certification, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification or similar federal government or military certification, 2+ years experience with residential alarm systems, CCTV, and digital video systems integration

Execute executive protection program and strategy
Manage and lead security professionals

Ensure safety and well-being of executives
Conduct thorough risk assessments
Escalate awareness of potential threats
Prepare and deliver reports to senior management
Oversee development and implementation of security plans
Participate and guide red team exercises
Coordinate with internal stakeholders
Establish and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies
Enhance organization’s security measures
Develop and leverage peer network
Remain on-call to manage security-related emergencies

That’s why our team is looking to add an Executive Protection Specialist. The Executive Protection Specialist is a critical member of the Global Workplace Services Team at Capital One. The selected candidate will focus on the safety and security of the Executive Management Team; and coordination of security protocols for a variety of high profile events. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in security management, threat assessment and protective operations. The selected candidate will join a team of security professionals and execute balanced security protocols in line with Capital One’s culture and industry standards; ensuring the highest level of protection for all designated individuals, events and properties. These services may require long hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Candidates must be willing to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%), sometimes on short notice.
