Full Job Description

**[What the role is]** Purpose of Job SFA’s mission is to ensure and secure a supply of safe food for Singapore. The officer will be part of SFA’s enforcement team to ensure the food in Singapore are wholesome and safe for human consumption. **[What you will be working on]** **Duties The Executive/Senior Executive is required to:** 1.Conduct inspections and surveys to ensure the compliance to food safety and hygiene requirements for the following licensees/operators of local food establishments which may include a.Retail food establishments b.Non-Retail food establishments c.Food producing establishments (farms) d.Livestock-slaughtering facilities 2.Conduct inspections and sampling for imported food and follow-up with importers for missed inspections and measures to take for food that has failed the regulatory tests. 3.Initiate and coordinate food recalls of unsafe food. 4.Attend to food safety feedback in licensed food establishments, including One Health (OH) and non-OH gastroenteritis incidents. 5.Attend, investigate and follow-up on public/industry feedback related to local food establishments which may require to work across various government agencies. 6.Conduct enforcement against any breaches of food safety legislations and licensing conditions which may include standing in court for prosecution cases. 7.Conduct targeted operations to prevent and deter unsafe food practices including developing public communication materials. 8.Provide guidance and advice to SFA licensees in meeting the regulatory and food safety requirements. 9.Support service of exigencies. The officer should also be open to job rotation to other areas of work in SFA as part of career development. These areas could include and are not limited to jobs in industry and community partnership, media and communications, licensing, facilities management, corporate, and policy/planning. **[What we are looking for]** **Requirements** •Prior experience or knowledge in Food Science/ Food Technology/
