WHO WE ARE: Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is hiring an Executive Assistant to work in the agency’s Human Resources department. The job is based at our headquarters at 101 E. 15th Street. That’s just north of the Texas State Capitol. This is an in-office job. TWC is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those currently on student or postgraduate visas. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas. WHO YOU ARE: This job will be supporting the agency’s human resources director. It’s a fast-paced job that requires a critical thinker with experience providing support. You must be a self-starting, motivated, and collaborative problem solver, detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multi-tasking, with a passion for challenges. Exceptional communication skills required. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Executive Assistant I performs complex (journey-level) professional assistance work for the Director. Work involves high-level administrative support operations to include, managing calendars, routing email traffic, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements for the Director and the RSM staff. May supervise the work of others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: - Provide highly responsible administrative and technical assistance to the HR director. - Respond to complex inquiries regarding program or administrative regulations, policies and procedures. - Compile, prepare, verify, process, and maintain confidential agency documents, complex correspondence, reports and forms. - Assist in compiling and analyzing data and reports. - Review e-mail, receives calls, and takes appropriate action on the director’s behalf. - Advise and assist the director on high-level administrative matters and operations. - Interpret policies and procedures and makes administrati
