Estimator/QuantitySurveyor(Commercial)

Position : Estimator / QS (Commercial) Salary : $1,700 - $2,200 AUD a month Working Hours & Conditions : Australian Hours Holidays : Public holidays in AU Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with experience in commercial construction to support the preparation of tenders, cost estimates, and project pricing. This role is focused on analysing tender documentation, completing accurate material take-offs, and assisting with supplier pricing and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies, excellent numerical skills, and experience working with estimating and procurement software. Estimating & Tender Analysis (Primary Focus) * Review and analyse tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work * Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects * Conduct quantity take-offs and material measurements from plans and specifications * Identify project risks, exclusions, and cost considerations during tender review * Assist in preparing competitive and accurate tender submissions Quantity Surveying & Cost Management * Complete accurate quantity calculations for materials, labour, and subcontractor scopes * Support budgeting, cost planning, and project feasibility assessments * Monitor and maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules * Assist with variation pricing and cost analysis where required Supplier & Procurement Coordination * Source supplier and subcontractor pricing using ProcurePro * Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors * Assist with procurement planning and cost benchmarking * Maintain supplier databases and pricing records Systems & Documentation * Prepare and maintain estimating records within BuildTrend * Ensure all project documentation is organised and accurately recorded * Support process improvements across estimating and procurement workflows * Assist with project handovers
