Full Job Description

**Estate & Trust Administrator** We are seeking an experienced Estate Settlement Administrator to manage the full lifecycle of estate administration for high-net-worth clients (typically $3MM+ estates). This role is hands-on and focused on**estate settlement.** **Key Responsibilities** * Lead estate settlement from start to finish: identify/marshal assets, review legal documents, review income and estate tax returns, review accounting, and oversee distributions * Coordinate with outside counsel, ensuring legal documents are completed accurately * Partner with accountants, appraisers, and internal teams * Serve as primary contact for beneficiaries and external partners * Collaboration with Trust Officers on interim trust administration * Ensure compliance, risk management, and fee oversight * Mentor junior team members **Education and Experience Required:** * Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years’ estate and trust settlement administrative experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ estate and trust settlement administrative experience **Education and Experience Preferred:** * Background from banks, law firms, or fiduciary environments preferred * Experience working with high-net-worth clients * Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills * JD or advanced credentials a plus **Work Environment** * Full-time, **in-office role** (collaborative team of ~4) * Limited client-facing in-office interaction M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $74,600.00 - $124,400.00 Annual (USD).
