EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN THE OPPORTUNITY UHP is seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to support and maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles, heavy equipment, generators, utility vehicles, and campus machinery critical to daily operations and construction efforts. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair work, and equipment reliability across a wide range of diesel-powered and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-sufficient, mechanically strong, and comfortable operating in both shop and field environments. Equipment supported may include: - Construction equipment (excavators, dozers, rollers, skid steers, etc.) - Vocational trucks (dump trucks, water trucks, fire trucks, etc.) - Diesel vehicles and buses - Utility vehicles and UTVs - Small engine equipment (mowers, chainsaws, etc.) - Diesel generators Key Responsibilities PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE & SERVICE - Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment - Conduct oil, filter, fluid, and routine service work - Maintain service schedules based on mileage and equipment hours - Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur DIAGNOSTICS & REPAIR - Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems - Troubleshoot emissions systems, including DEF a
