What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a Natural Science, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, Class "C" operator's driver's license, Current three-year driving record from the current state of residence, Texas driver's license obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident (if not currently a Texas resident)
Nice to Have
At least two years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
What You'll Do.
Develop and update fume hood testing protocols
Conduct fume hood testing
Inspect and test ventilated exposure control equipment
Perform ADA ergonomic assessments
Support GHS labelling
Conduct room ventilation assessments
Assist with laboratory risk assessments
Respond to lab incidents
spills and odor calls
Troubleshoot ventilation systems
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Consults with institutional personnel; Coordinate with campus partners; Coordinate with third party contractors; Communicate issues with essential ventilation equipment to lab personnel and building managers
