Join us! **Purpose of Job:** The Environmental Specialist will ensure our operations meet all federal, state, and local environmental regulations. This role will be responsible for conducting on-site audits, managing hazardous waste disposal, and interpreting complex environmental laws to mitigate risk and promote sustainable practices. **Job Components:** * Monitor and interpret regulations from the EPA and state agencies (e.g., RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act) to ensure organizational adherence. * Developing and/or revising various U.S. EPA and/or state-required regulatory written programs. * Authoring environmental compliance reports by local, state, and federal requirements (e.g., RCRA, Tier II, CA Hazardous Materials Business Plans, EPCRA 312 and 313 reporting) * Conduct routine facility inspections and audits to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions. * Collect and analyze samples (soil, water, air), interpret laboratory results, and maintain accurate records for agency reporting. * Lead investigations into environmental incidents, such as spills or unauthorized releases, and coordinate remediation efforts. * Develop and deliver environmental training programs for staff to ensure awareness of hazardous waste handling and safety protocols. * Abide by OSHA and DOT Hazmat regulations. * Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or a relate
