Job Summary You can make a difference in patients' lives as an Environmental Service Technician with Corewell Health. Your contributions in this role have a direct impact on high-quality care; you'll be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting assigned work areas, removing medical waste, trash, and linens, and maintaining the appearance and condition of our floors, carpets, and upholstery. Essential Functions * Responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting and stocking of patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas according to established procedures. Responsible for the removal and disposal of linens and waste streams. * Performs interim and restorative maintenance to hard floor, carpets and upholstery according to procedures. * Assembles, maintains and stores equipment/supplies that are necessary to complete tasks according to department standards. * Communicates and collaborates with other members of the team to ensure continuity and coordination of services. Reports general maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in work area. * Assists visitors and employees in navigating through the hospital to reach their destination. * Fully functioning within one cleaning area. * May be expected to work across department sites for coverage and business need. Qualifications * Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent * public service and or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience Preferred Physical Demands * Pallet to Waist (6" from floor) > 5 lbs: Occasionally up to 50 lbs * Waist to Waist > 5 lbs: Occasionally up to 50 lbs * Waist to Chest (below shoulder) > 5 lbs: Seldom up to 35 lbs * Waist to Overhead > 5 lbs: Seldom up to 25 lbs * Bil
