What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5 years of experience in landfill engineering or environmental compliance in air, water, and solid waste, Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations relating to air, water, solid waste, and material recovery/recycling, written and oral communication skills, Effective interpersonal communication across various levels of the organization and with external customers, vendors and government agency representatives, project management skills, analytical skills and a focus on adding value to the Company, Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
What You'll Do.
Prepare Landfill budget
Manage Engineering department spending
Oversee personnel during site development
Manage construction projects for Landfill cells
Maintain financial responsibility for construction/cell development
Coordinate completion of permit applications and designs
Prepare notifications/responses to regulatory inspections
Assist with development of fill sequencing plans
Perform public relations and due diligence activities
Complete monthly soil tracking reports
Supervise Environmental Technicians and Specialists
Attend regulatory and association meetings
Ensure continued compliance by coordinating monitoring
Perform other job-related duties
