Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. The Environmental Engineer will lead critical environmental initiatives for Amazon's Leo, based at either our Redmond or Kirkland, Washington facility. This role combines technical engineering expertise with strategic program management to enhance Leo's environmental performance and regulatory compliance. As an individual contributor, you will develop and implement environmental management systems, manage compliance programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with leadership teams, you will integrate environmental engineering solutions and best practices into daily operations while ensuring regulatory requirements are met. Your responsibilities will encompass technical design and oversight of environmental systems, development of compliance processes, and implementation of sustainable practices.
