Must Have

University degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering, or technical field, Minimum 10 years’ experience within environmental field, Experience in IFC Project funding requirements, Fluency in English language, Current BOSIET certification, Current OGUK Medical certification

Nice to Have

Experience related to construction or extractive, particularly O&G industry project, Knowledge of Mozambique regulations, Familiarity with Portuguese

Full Job Description

Our client is a global multi-energy company operating large-scale refining and petrochemical facilities. It transforms crude oil into fuels and essential industrial products through highly integrated and technologically advanced operations. The organisation is recognized for its strong HSE culture, operational excellence, and commitment to reducing environmental impact. Joining the company means contributing to complex international projects within a high-performance industrial environment. The Mozambique LNG Project is a US$20 billion deepwater subsea-to-shore gas development in northern Mozambique, delivered over five years by 1,500+ global staff. It features a 17,000-acre LNG facility with marine infrastructure and a private airstrip. The project includes two LNG trains producing 12.88 MTPA over a 25-year life from 18 subsea wells via seven production manifolds, trunklines, flowlines, and MEG lines, supported by 25 control modules, 11 umbilicals, 12 UTAs, and 48 flexible jumpers. * Develop, coordinate functional endorsement of, and implement the Project Regulatory Compliance Plan and Environmental Management Plan. * Assist the Upstream HSE Manager in supporting project-related Environmental & Regulatory (E&R) activities, identifying/implementing appropriate/best environmental practices. * Provide input to the environmental-related Coordination Procedures for EPCI Contractor document packages regarding environmental commitments. * Obtain identified project permits/licenses/approvals; track/steward the project approvals process & the project’s compliance status. * Interface with project design and execution teams to ensure that the company environmental requirements/standards are properly integrated into project designs and implementation plans. * Recommend appropriate environmental issues/impacts avoidance/mitigation measures and oversee their implementation. * Work with EPCI contractor to ensure the development of appropriate and acceptable Environmental & Regula
