What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field, Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management for construction or industrial infrastructure projects, Deep knowledge of Spanish environmental legislation, Experience managing environmental permits and communications with competent authorities, Ability to conduct environmental inspections at construction sites and compliance audits, Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken), Availability for frequent construction site visits across Aragón
Nice to Have
Experience working with General Contractors on large-scale construction projects, Familiarity with Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) development and review, Experience with Procore or similar construction management software, Experience in environmental incident investigation and root cause analysis, Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies during incident response
What You'll Do.
Provide on-site assessment and oversight of construction environmental
Complete Construction Environmental Risk Forms
Conduct environmental inspections using standardized checklists
Monitor General Contractor performance with permit conditions
Review and approve CEMPs submitted by contractors
Ensure compliance with environmental regulatory requirements
Manage environmental incidents and non-compliances
Coordinate responses with regulatory agencies
Provide technical support to construction teams
Participate in incident investigations
Develop corrective action
Ensure Root Cause Analyses and Corrections of Errors
Verify recommendations are implemented
Identify and resolve issues to prevent incidents
Drive improvements across the Spain portfolio
Collaborate with Construction Managers
Collaborate with General Contractors
Collaborate with environmental consultants
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Review design changes that may impact environmental compliance
Develop local documentation
Prepare regulatory reports
Track environmental metrics and program performance
