Nice to Have
High school diploma or vocational training or technical certification in mechanical or electrical fields is preferred, Familiarity with baggage handling systems and equipment is a plus
What You'll Do.
providing technical support and maintenance for baggage handling equipment
troubleshooting issues
performing routine inspections to ensure optimal performance
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on baggage handling systems
including conveyor belts
and automated baggage handling equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical
and pneumatic issues in baggage handling equipment
Assist senior mechanics in more complex repairs and troubleshooting
Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions or breakdowns
identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments or repairs as needed to maintain efficiency and safety
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
Complete maintenance logs and service reports in a timely manner
Report major issues or recurring problems to the Baggage Handling Supervisor
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Ensure that all equipment complies with regulatory standards and safety regulations
Participate in safety training and adhere to best practices
Work closely with other mechanics
and airport staff to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to baggage handling operations
Assist in training new employees or less experienced staff on equipment maintenance and safety procedures
Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in baggage handling and maintenance
Suggest improvements or upgrades to enhance equipment performance and efficiency

Work closely with other mechanics, engineers, and airport staff to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to baggage handling operations; Assist in training new employees or less experienced staff on equipment maintenance and safety procedures
