You will work closely with experienced engineers and receive peer mentorship, hands-on guidance, and exposure to embedded systems, application software, automated testing, and modern development practices. **On a typical day you will:** * Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software for the Compass product line * Work on Linux-based systems and embedded platforms * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA and field support * Write clean, maintainable, and testable code * Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and agile development activities * Learn new technologies and tools as part of your regular workflow * Roll up your sleeves to troubleshoot issues, improve existing systems, and support product enhancements **What you will need to be successful:** * Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. * 0-3 years of experience, or a strong eagerness to learn about: Linux environments (Ubuntu, Yocto), Scripting (bash, etc.), Python, C / C++, Qt Framework, Java, Go, Git * Automated testing and various testing frameworks * Networking fundamentals (IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, messaging, protocols) * Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.) * Eager to learn new skills and technologies. * Adaptable and flexible with day-to-day priorities. * A collaborative team player with a positive attitude. * Comfor
