In this role, you will coordinate and inspect municipal capital projects and development activities as they relate to roads, water, wastewater and facilities. You will apply your expertise to review preliminary and detailed design drawing submissions, perform fieldwork such as surveying and handle inspection and enforcement of municipal development infrastructure installations. As an Engineering Technologist with the City of Merritt, you will collect infrastructure data for the City of Merritt’s GIS system, prepare and/or coordinate municipal infrastructure planning reports, implement detailed analysis of existing and proposed infrastructure and compile and maintain the City’s record drawings and infrastructure reports. In addition, you will support the Public Works and Planning and Development departments with troubleshooting infrastructure and development-related issues and work collaboratively with other municipal staff and departments. ## Qualifications This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about performing technical functions of a civil engineer
