What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Associate's degree in an applicable area of Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or a related curriculum, three (3) years of progressive technician level or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to Have

Experience accurately reading, comprehending, interpreting, and applying Department and Unit procedures, policies, data provided through CADD files, plans sheets, maps, as those apply to engineering and other types of land surveying, Experience planning, directing, overseeing, leading the work of lower-level technicians in survey field and office work, Experience working with survey equipment, i. e. total stations, GNSS receivers, Experience developing maps/plans through CADD utilizing CADD software, Experience with the standards, principles, and practices of surveying in North Carolina

Perform tasks utilizing conventional surveys

Complete moderate to complex assignments in analyzing

Review completed field data and CADD mapping

Direct the work of others

Be responsible for the safety of survey crew
