The Engineering Technician's responsibilities include using existing skills in fabrication, machining and welding to build fixture, gauges and other specialty products in support of Engineering and Design product requirements. **Primary Responsibilities:** **•** Support metalworking projects from planning and fabrication though assembly, inspection and testing, using knowledge of machine functions, metal properties and mathematics. **•** Fabricate fixtures, tools and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs. • Utilize various instruments including micrometers, squares and Vernier calipers. **•** Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials into machines. **•** Select appropriate tools, materials and machines to be used in preparation of machinery work. **Minimum Qualifications** **•** Set and operate metalworking, brazing, heat treating, welding and cutting equipment **•** Ability to program computers and electronic instruments (such as CNC machines). **•** Ability to read blueprints and design schematics. • Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances. **•** In-depth knowledge of machine tools. • Ability to confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufactur
