Nice to Have
Valid driver's license, Knowledge and understanding of general concepts, practices, and theories used in construction, construction inspection, and/or construction surveying, Knowledge and skill in the use of computer equipment, iPad and software, Experience maintaining standard daily records and reports, Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments, Knowledge of standards and specifications, Plan reading experience

The Salisbury Resident Engineer’s Office is seeking a highly motivated individual looking for a position with the potential of career advancement. This position performs technical duties supporting engineers and other professionals in areas such as construction inspection, surveying, materials testing, materials sampling, erosion control inspection, and construction traffic control audits on assigned projects. Work functions may include: inspection for compliance and/or code; collection and analysis of field data; testing of materials; review and interpret design plans; analysis of engineering related data and/or product data. Duties may also include: construction layout, measuring, staking, marking, and clearing brush. This position will perform other related duties as required. Applicants will be required to have a close visual acuity to use testing instruments, to read plan details, to make accurate field measurements and to inspect roadway and structure components.
