Who will you be working with? The Wabtec Mining team delivers world class drive systems for heavy haul mining trucks ranging up to 400T with a developing focus on sustainability technology introduction. In this role, the Lead Systems Engineer will lead cross functional teams through concept development and execution of key Mining projects. You’ll have the opportunity to interact directly with customers during product definition and will partner with other key stakeholders to ensure successful execution from development of requirements through the production launch. How will you make a difference? As an Engineering Technical Leader, you will develop concepts and lead the execution of technical programs that meet a scope of requirements. The engineer is responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives. This role has the ability to influence the technical direction of short-term and long-term business goals. What do we want to know about you? * Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science * At least 10 years of experience in an engineering position within the Marine, Stationary, Mining, Locomotive, Oil & Gas or related heavy equipment industry What will your typical day look like? * Leads the definition of the overall system requirements, recommends design approaches to meet/exceed customer expectations, and consistently demonstrates accountability. * Provides technical guidance throughout NPI process.
