Full Job Description
Would you like an opportunity to travel and work regionally? The role will be based in Mexico with 50% of time travelling either domestically or to other countries. Are you keen to be part of a team directly responsible for the expansion and upgrade of Amazon buildings across countries? Are you seeking a fast-paced and growing environment focused on innovating for our customers, along with the opportunity to travel and work regionally? This position is highly visible in Amazon and has high business impact. The Engineering PM will be responsible for delivering aspects of an Amazon Fulfilment Center (FC), focusing on its automation technologies (conveyance, sortation, robotics) and storage solutions. This person will be responsible for planning, designing and delivering medium and large size state-of-the-art material handling systems and technology innovations to effectively launch new Fulfillment Centers, expansions\convert existing sites and improve operations generally. The role will own Safety and make interventions accordingly. Safety is defined broadly and includes user ergonomics, environment and noise. There will be responsibility for budget and schedule of the projects. Give accurate updates and risk forecast. Focus on cost-saving while ensuring quality and optimum performance. During execution the person will often act as the main interface point for internal and external stakeholders. Internal functional teams such as Worldwide Design Engineering, RME, PMO, Central Planning, Construction, IT and Launch and external such as vendors and consultants. There is input from the early design stages and direct responsibility from building access, commissioning through handover to the Operations and Maintenance teams who lead the FC from Go-Live.
