Full Job Description
Your Role Are you experienced in leading engineering teams working on cloud-native networking systems? Do you understand how packet processing underpins scalable connectivity platforms? At emnify, you will lead a team focused on control plane packet processing, a critical part of our platform that bridges telecom protocols and internet-based systems. This domain is central to how we enable reliable, high-performance connectivity at scale. As part of the Engineering organization, you will take ownership of a team working on one of our most complex and performance-sensitive areas. You will guide both people and technical direction, ensuring the team delivers robust solutions while continuously improving how it operates. The Packet Gateway environment includes: Go for control plane services in a cloud-native architecture AWS infrastructure, primarily EKS, with supporting managed services Distributed systems communicating via Kafka and gRPC Designing solutions based on networking protocols and packet processing concepts Your Impact Lead and develop a team of ~6 engineers, driving performance, clarity, and accountability Provide technical direction in control plane packet processing, ensuring sound design and maintainable systems Translate engineering priorities into clear plans, managing delivery, risks, and dependencies Work closely with adjacent teams to align on architecture, trade-offs, and system evolution Build a strong team environment through coaching, feedback, and structured development Your Skills Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, including ownership of team performance, delivery, and development Solid foundation in networking protocols (e. g.
